And when you are a month late... The upshot now is (I dont know if this was ever the case normally as its a first "offence") that if you are a month behind, you pay the arrear month then pay for the full 6 months, which is nice.

Edit to add: I should say a half result I guess as the tax disc will be posted to PG1 and the car's in London...

Its been that way for a few years.....As someone who has a car stored for the majority of the winter, I regularly avail of that service.

Open the garage for something random, see the Nissan tucked away in the corner and think "If its dry Ill take it out for a spin this weekend, that would be good fun ....... I forgot to pay the tax last year though, wonder when its up this year?". Wander over and check the disk, panic and get on the phone ASAP.
