The calipers on the JCW were looking a bit faded... especially the logo
I removed what was left of the old logo, replaced it and gave them a fresh coat of lacquer... turned out alright

Another tweak replacing the stock Xenon headlamps with the black versions
Thanks to @Lauren_E for sorting me out with last moment parts during the week (y)

Suppose I should point out that I didn't just buy black headlights and swap them
That would have been far too simple  and expensive!

I bought two smashed black headlights and two cheaper stock versions
Pull them all apart and rebuilt the black pair

Satisfying and cheaper:cool::laughing:

Love this.

Is it hard to source that style front bumper and side skirts etc?

Quite fancy those for my Clubvan.
You should be ok sourcing the front bumper as it will be the same as the JCW version fitted to the R56 hatch, R57 cabrio and the R58 & R59 coupe and roadster

The clubman has a longer wheelbase so sourcing the sideskirts could be more problematic and/or expensive ... as they are clubman specific
I was lucky in that they are a standard fit to the UK JCW so it came that way
Keep an eye on eBay as very occasionally some do show up

How do you find the 215/40 profile tyres?

I need to replace 4 tyres for my 18" R105 wheels..
215 are a bit better value than the stock 205..

They are ok, ride is definitely harder on the 18s
Can't say I notice much difference day to day between 205 and 215

I bought them out of necessity .... phoned the tyre place who said "yes we have 205/40s here"
Turned up and they didn't !

I have spacers on the wheels to fill the arched better....... without them you might get a bit of rubbing with the 215s

I know of 4, JKC, Derek Thoms Butchers in Portstewart, ours and another white one that was at the Mini show in Portrush last summer.
Your Clubvan looks great, as Simon says a JCW kit would look great on it

Really love this - sitting perfect!

Any tips when looking for one?
Clubman specific ...check the rear barn doors around the handles as they can corrode, though the BMW/MINI bodywork warranty may cover it.
Most other potential issues will be the same as the hatchback and will be around the engine, also the front subframe can corrode.

Other than that look at the usual miles, history, condition & specification

Here is a buyers guide with details of some of the technical elements-

I agree with checking the barn doors for rust. I had one back in 2012 I think and it was only about 2 or 3 years old at this stage and I had to get two new doors due to rust bubbles. They were initially going to just respray but MINI in their wisdom decided to replace. Mine started to bubble under the door handles.
