Cailbra 4x4 is a good car and goes well as long as you look after it.
As everyone keeps saying the only bad point is the transmission box.
You must:
Rotate the tyres every 2-5k miles ( cant remember which)
and the tyres must all have even levels of thread and be the same size.

You can always pull out fuse 19 if you want to drop it to 2wd though.

They are decent engines if you get one that has been looked after. Not as tunable as a Cossie etc but if you want to through some money at it you can easily get another 50 bhp from it.

They have a class top speed and handle surprisingly well.

you might get a lancia delta integrale for that money. theres 8valves and 16valves, both are twin cam. front and rear LSD. all are left hand drive from the factory, but theres enough poke not to wory about that.

yea, it has four valves per cam, it has more torque than the 16 valve, but the 16valve has more power. theres only 0.1 of a second between them to 60mph and 3mph difference flat out.

oh yea, you'd need to keep a grand to the side in case anything breaks. (and it will) mind you, with classic insurance at £275 depending on mileage per year and your age you could aford the odd breakage
