Not sure tbh. The part numbers i need are either 8e0399313bg or 8e0399313am. Has to be of a quattro. Over a grand new and most used ones are rotted out.

Thanks for that, looks like there is other options. I was workin all day while lookin for a part so didnt have the time to look deeper into it so i left it with the mechanic to make the call as hes better qualified than me but it sounds like he got that one at a decent price and good nik. Il pass that info on to him if this doesnt work out. 👍

To update, got the Audi back today and well happy with the job Burns’ garage done, car feels solid and smooth again. Thanks to everyone for the feedback and big thanks to Tufty for all your help. Eamon said he’d give that subframe to one of your drivers👍
I have it in the classifieds now if anyone’s interested.

Ended up getting a reconditioned subframe from an eBay seller in Germany, for a fair price, it only took a week to get it though😬

Murray Motorsport or Paul Taggart who @Tufty had recommended I use would be good shouts locally

I've not found one local that I'd leave mine with but will give Paul a go in the future.

Rick's garage in Lisburn is also very good

Where is Rick's garage?

Bit of a thread bump. Looking someone that knows their stuff to look at an a6 with a soft brake pedal. I bled the brakes and it didn't help. Got a local mechanic to look at it. He bled the brakes again and said "try that" but no better.

Pedal sinks when you hold it and has an "airy" judder to it when you first step in the pedal.

On the moira road a few miles out from the big roundabout thingy on the right in the wee industrial estate 🤣

I used Paul Taggart to do a service and timing belt on our A5 last week. Genuinely great, and a nice guy - even got a full audi style status report of all the checks carried out. He has moved from Lawrencetown over to the Silverwood Industrial Estate in Lurgan. A nice shiny new unit too.

Cheers

Another vote for Paul Teggart at Audi Specialist Repairs - Home

He serviced my S4 last week and was very helpful, knowledgeable, and sound. Like Cookies said got the full Audi inspection report afterwards, and he was able to update the online service history. Very handy to find now too, not far off the M1 at Lurgan.
