Right, first order of business is to sort out the wheel situation!

In an ideal world I'd love to keep the 20s on but they just won't be practical.

18" wheels with 245/40/18 tyres (as per standard OEM spec) is the way I'm thinking.

Quite like the sport wheels (not sure of the proper name for them):

Finding a mint set locally might be difficult though.

Any other 18" suggestions?

Would I be completely mad to stick a set of these RS6 reps on it?:

The missus will be driving it more than I will so the wheels are likely to graze the odd kerb anyway!

No please not those, they totally let the car down. Go for the 19" Y spoke ones. I didn't notice any harshness on mine.

I don't mind those in that picture, I think its just not a great shot.

What about the 5 spoke S-Line wheels? I think they're probably a bit small looking on an A5, but if its the idea car and you fear kerbing they'd be perfect then.

I did consider a set of the black edition rotors but the diamond cut lip would be a bitch to maintain, especially during the winter.

They all look good! Just want to make the right decision now as I don't want to be changing them again next month!

I wouldn't put reps on it. If you're going second hand you should be able to pick these or the previous ones up cheap enough.

I know that lol but it gives the idea of what they will look like but then I checked the link again and they are the same wheels anyway but just an inch smaller (BBSBOY's)

Picked the car up this morning and there's no way I'm taking the wheels off it.

They make the car.

I read reviews saying the S Line suspension is stiff and even worse on 20s.

It is stiff enough but coming from an S3 on H&R springs it's like a water bed!
