If you look at the first picture in the first post, all that orangy brown corrosion just ends up on the alloys if you take it for a drive. Then you'd have to wash the alloys again. Then you'd go round in circles forever.
There would always be rusty water hidden somewhere, ready to splash out and make a mess regardless of drying.
A lot of it will also depend on the make up if whatever discs and pads your car is running, and the style of alloy wheels you've got.
