Thanks for confirming. Sounds acceptable. The current ones seem to offer full widescreen for CarPlay too whereas I’m sure previously it was just the half screen.
The guy replied to say mine will need a later idrive unit, so it’s not worth the bother as I plan on changing the car this year.
