Can't Seem to Stay away from 7's (This is the 7th one i've owned!)
I'm having a total Case of Deja Vu with this Project having only converted a Superlight 6 Months ago to Hayabusa Power and Then Selling up!
This Car kind of found me, and all Fell together.. So it seemed like a sign!
It was fully Rebuilt on a New Chassis in 2015 and has only been used as a Hillclimb Car since, the Previous Owner Campaigned the Car for Ten years and felt like he had Fully Developed / gone as far as a Caterham Could go, Prior to my Ownership the car was installed with a 260hp 1680cc Hayabusa (£20k+) Engine, this ended up going into a Single seater, and I purchased the Rest of the Car from the Owner.
The Chassis spec itself is as follows -
Imperial S3 DeDion Caterham Chassis
Painted Riviera Blue
Full SLR Roll Cage
Quick Rack
Nitron Dampers
Widetrack Suspension
Bladed Front Rollbar
AP Brakes Front and Rear
Titan Plate Diff with 3.14 Ratio Diff for Bua
Carbon - Nose, Arches, Tunnel, Dash, Seat, Boot Cover, Sump Guard
Full Mounted up a Hayabusa & Propshaft to Suit.
DTA SX Dash Board
2 Sets of Magnesium Split Rims
& Ofcourse Fully Road Registered
All up Weight with 5L of Fuel on Board 430kg
Whilst Collecting the Car in Wales, it made sense to Collect an Engine En Route -
1300cc Gen1 Busa,
Fully Rebuilt by Extreme Engines
High Compression Pistons, Cams
Nova Dry Sump System
Clutch & Gearbasket Upgrade
Billet Starter Cover Setup
Full Stainless Manifold and Silencer in Caterham Fitment
So Plan is to nail it together, and use it.. If I got torn into it there is about 3 days work in it.
But the reality is I have it home 3 weeks and haven't made a start yet!
Some Pics!
In all her Glory..
Previous Owner was Meticulous and looked after it very well for a Competition Car..
Almost seemed a Shame to bring it home in an open trailer, fortunately it only rained for about 15mins of my 6 hour Journey home!
Got it home, Washed down, On to its stands & Ready for Surgery!
And Of Course the Engine!
Excuse the Power Source, the Garage is also Work in Progress!
