Thanks very much @Burt2000. Aye its a uk car so the years of salt didnt help unfortunately but it wasnt too bad considering. Having it in storage for years helped but it was just getting a little tired looking.
Love the attention to detail there with the clips etc, it must be a great feeling picking up a freshly painted car. It looked to have faired pretty well compared to the majority of U.K. Imprezas, even the arches were only surface. I must get the battery charged in mine and get it out for a drive this weekend, my time has been taken up with the little Corsa GSI recently!
Needed to do it right with the new clips etc @Burt2000, i ended up replacing the majority of the outer trim as well as the front and rear bumper supports. Need a few more bits like the chrome Subaru boot badge as the old one was a bit pitted. Your GSI is class Burt2000, you pleased with it? My first car was a 1.6 sport and i loved it.
I prefer the 5 door shape over the 2 door in white for some reason. Looks a great job all round.
Aye love the Gsi, very rare these days but it is gonna need a wee bit of welding before I’m happy with it, cant say I’m that surprised given it’s a 25 year corsa lol. But I’d rather know what I’m working with and get it solid.
Aye i like a white 5 door myself although i wouldnt turn down a white type r if i can ever afford one.
They are rare alright, before seeing your one the last GSI i seen was a long long time ago. There used to be a lovely turquoise coloured one in lisburn back in the day.
