Picked this up on Monday night
2007 LCI 525d M Sport Auto Space Grey
I wanted something more economical and a bit more modern than the e38. I contemplated a f10 but I had to have an e60 first, absolutely love the look of Lci's and tbh they are so much car for the money. I wanted a red or white 535d but after a lot of faffing looking at stupid stuff that done half a mpg it got to the stage where my e38 insurance renewal was up and I wanted to renew the policy on a different car. So I was actually immobile for the 2 weeks it took to find this car. I broadened the search to an e60 that was auto, clean and 6 cylinder which is pretty rare these days.. most are felted and wrecked !
So far I'm loving it. Feels a bit strange going for the diesel nozzle at the filling station but I imagine I'll be visiting it a lot less often . It's a 3.0 6 cylinder so at least it sounds sweet
I'll post better photos once I get a chance to give it a good wash
Plans are to service it, including gearbox and diff. I'm not that keen on the interior. Feel a bit lost in the front seats because they are so wide. E38/E39 sport seats are a lot more narrow and fitting. So since its a daily and I will be spending a lot of time in it I'm on the look out for a m5 interior for it
Usually I'm the first person to advise on putting in LED angel eyes to any new bm owner, but I actually like the OEM yellow look along with the orange iconic e60 eyebrows. Not making any promises though, no doubt they'll be ripped out and replaced by ridiculously bright LED's, but for now I'm leaving them.
Id like to do something with the dip beam light output. They are halogens and a bit crap, so I'll either fit an HID kit or LED kit with a white output and not chav blue
Overall its surprisingly clean. It has a few stone chips at the front which I think is worth getting sorted since the rest of the car is in such good shape
Thanks for looking
