A modern F1 probably would barely fit round the carousel 😇🙃

That sounds like fun 😎 Probably more of a demo run than any record attempt, but still fun.

Nick Heinfeld did it in 2007 in the Williams BMW.
F1 car couldn't drop into the carousel, stayed on the top.

In fairness it might be quicker round the top, the banked inner bit is pretty rough.

F1 was so much better at 18k rpm 😁

They looked so much better too, not the overweight inflated barges we get now.

Whatever Ferrari did it seems to have worked, pole for the main race. They still think the RB is way ahead on race pace though. Max seems to agree with that, he doesn't seem too bothered, lol.

I thought Merc had a major upgrade planned? Or is that for a later race still?

They got several upgrades including a new floor I believe.

No doubt the single practice session has hurt them since the Merc seems to be a nightmare to setup, on top of the new parts.

Yes, he's always known how to do that but chose not to and in fairness needed to with the mercs superior pace back then. Difference now is he doesn't have to, just wait for the next straight and away he goes. Russell, and the rest of grid, are now in that scenario, they have to do something risky to get by the RBs and even if they do manage it will.only.be temporary.

Max really is a yappy wee sheeiiiitttteeee and he has a short memory! He pulled the same moves on many a driver in the past!!

He doesn’t like it now the shoe is on the other foot and drivers are doing it on him!

Poor Perez! Drive a great sprint race but not much radio conversation aired by Channel 4!

Speaking of which, are Channel 4 being sponsored by Red Bull? They forgot to hide their bias today on the commentating!

Tbh, it was the same when Danny Ric was his teammate too.

He clearly doesn't have the ability to have a cool head at all, and little things get to him and wind him up a lot.
