Do people actually buy the garbage that these YouTubers sell?

Can't do surly?
MCM fellas been about since the dawn of YouTube, so to me they have paid their dues and earned my interest enough for a 20 quid piece of merch. MCM guys seem properly into it for the motors and life it lets them live more then the likes etc, you just need to watch their videos to see that. They never really do the mods or cars that could earn the big views Eg the postie bike or k truck etc

People buy merch for lots of TV programs they like etc. I know its on YouTube which makes them YouTubers but regardless of their format, I'm a fan of their show.. I've bought loads of their stuff tbh 🤷🏻‍♂️

I've bought / been bought some of the BoM stuff and I'm happy to support them because I've lived through years of reading magazines that had 'projects' that got dropped because the guys were journalists rather than welders and fabricators etc. Nothing ever got finished or it disappeared for 6 months and turned up completed after being sent to a specialist or something. I want to see the gritty details of how stuff is done because I'm interested and up until YouTube there was very few mags that would or could go into that level of detail bar Practical Classics or Practical Performance Car and even then, some are rushed through and not enough detail could be shown in a monthly magazine to be fair. PC used to do books on their big projects and I have a few of them.
I paid for that, why not patreon and merch?

I don’t mind buying the odd bit of merchandise from content creators on YouTube - they provide me with enjoyment through their video’s so will gladly support them. No different from buying sport/motorsport merchandise.

the MCM guys are very much down to earth. I have met moog (Blair) a few times as he loves close to me in Sydney. The whole youtube thing was purely a fun thing at the start for these guys to do as they have full time jobs in the music industry. It has grown into something they never really dreamed about, and they celebrated their 14th yr on youtube this week. They have a massive following in Aus and Japan, and have made a lot of money from their channel over the yrs with co-labs with discovery channel multiple times to make shows and have major sponsorship deals with mainstream firms in Oz. I say hats of to them for all the hard work they have done over the yrs and some amazing builds.

I enjoyed the civic one. I know MCM aren’t for everyone but they love what they do and it shows.

Only thing I hate is when Moog does his serious voice on the voice overs. You ain’t fooling no one lol

Dunno why it's not for everyone tbh I love it allways have never watched much of the civic build tho was a bit mundane
