Another car I've always been drawn to since they first came out and I read the reviews in magazines.

Picked it up yesterday, great wee car around the back roads and the supercharger whine is very addictive, as are the pops and bangs

For anyone who doesn't know about the GP(still learning myself so mini buffs feel free to correct me):

Only 2000 made worldwide of which 450 were sold in UK. All were Thunder Blue and 218bhp from factory with LSD. Only 2 recaro heated seats up front, removal of rear seats and aluminium rear lower control arms saved 50kg from normal cars weight.

Only plans at the minute are get my reg on it, and change the runflats for something decent.

Very nice mate. I think these make their 218bhp too unlike the JCW's that tend to come in a bit under their quoted power figures.

@Wild Thing is your man for servicing and parts and he's not too far away from you either - plus there's a very good after market scene through 1320, Lohen, etc (although I'm not sure if you would / should modify it).

I'm absolutely loving mine :grinning:

Did you change the Audi for this? I'd assumed it was as well as the S4!

That's a real 'wheel right in the corner' stance. Looks like the sort of car that just encourages a bit of sporting about the back roads!

That's fantastic. I've always loved these. They look so aggressive for a MINI.

I bet it's alot of fun :grinning:

Plenty of room for a St.Bernard in there. Will have to get a spin when you're back, better steer than the Audi?

Nowhere near as fast as the Audi, but more fun round the back roads for sure!

Yep, Audi is gone. Sure Audis are boring anyways. Just bought another motorbike an all for the speed fix, and I'll hopefully be getting a big engined everyday car next time I'm home.

Also it has full Mini service history so wasn't sure if it's worth keeping that up or not? I know it was a selling point for me like.

Tubing wise, I may add down bolt on bits but as you say it's maybe better keeping these as intended.

Nice Gavin. Was on my watch list. From Essex?

Yes mate, came over from Essex in May.

On a GP a MINI or specialist (like the MINI centre in Tandragee) history would be best bet. They're pretty rare and things like that count. You'll have a ball with it, looking forward to a look round it at the next BBQ (whenever that is).

Health to drive, my advice would leave it absolutly un molested as it left the factory and just watch the pounds generate, a good appreciating classic. Deezer has all the main differences covered.

It's funny when you take a passenger and just keep it nailed round a bend. @GazEP3 was ready to pull the Jesus handle clean out of the headliner on his first run round the Hillhall road lol

******* unreal lol Great handling thing!! My Audi wallows around even with Eibachs in it lol I'm intrigued to see how it goes now with the new pulley in it :p:laughing:

Funny the spark plugs weren't fitted properly (not by me) & when the mechanic was changing them out for cooler plug he noticed it. So I was losing compression across the board. Always thought it felt a wee bit slow but with the plugs sorted, CAI, milltek and pulley it goes the very best. Much improved :grinning:
