Havent put any updates on this recently. The irish escort club did a run round the mournes at the end of august so i decided to get her ready and to sort out a few dry spots in the paint that were annoying me. Flat sanded with 2000 then 3000 grit sandpaper then machine buffed out with 3m fast cut plus then 3m perfect it III ultrafine polish.

dry paint/orange peel with a bit of sanding started

wet sanding done, went a bit overboard, dry spot was only the area of a tv remote

sanding marks polished out / still some compound on surface of paint so needed washed again

all clean

new reg - dvlani wouldnt allow me to have the original plate back [ovx281v] and instead gave me a crap TUI**** reg, wasnt happy so i bought this wee plate for it.

Also got the oil changed and hit the road / junctions like a goodun. There were about 60-70 cars turned up from the club so it was a good turnout, got a good wee rip. Heres a few action shots that were captured on route

About 60-70 cars in total and I didn't manage to get a single pic. Some stunning cars. Here's 2 pics I nabbed of me in action, hopefully some sideways action shots appear

The next updates will be me stripping the car to get some stuff sorted over the winter. Engine and bay are getting repainted and a makeover and a few other bits.

Do think this is a cracker of a motor and would love a Mk2 with Cossie power in the future.

cheers lads, appreciate the comments. People always say that you shouldn't meet your heros because they end up being dicks. A mk2 escort was always one of my dream cars and im glad to say that it puts a smile on my face every time.

If anyone sees me out and bout in it dont be shy to come over for a chat and if i have time i'd be glad to take anyone for a run.
