People don't often share good stories, so I wanted to share a recent experience with both George McMillan and Ashgood Porsche.

When I was buying the car, I had a pre-purchase inspection carried out and Ashgood sorted any niggles found. One of these issues was a small haze of oil on the engine, not a big leak, just a light coating of oil. They said they got this fixed at their local specialist and we agreed that if it returned, they would sort it.]

So, when getting the Sharkwerks fitted, we noticed the haze had returned. Upon investigation it was a seal that needed replaced however it required quite a large strip down of parts of the engine, so lots of labour! George kindly contacted Ashgood and put forward all the relevant information and they agreed to pay for it.

You hear lots of horror stories of dealers, but this is a good example of a dealer taking responsibility - fair play Ashgood Porsche! Highly recommended!

Exhaust is fitted, service and Geo done - car is driving and sounding great!

On the final boat on our return trip from the Nurburgring with @Rob

It's been the best trip so far, the weather was incredible (though too hot really for the cars). I completed 7 TF laps in the 911, three on the Friday evening and then Four on the Sunday. Rob timed me (I wasn't aware he was) and on a fairly steady lap it resulted in 9 mins dead bridge to gantry - happy with that!

We met up with @nigelmcg - thanks again for the Passenger laps, my wife was really pleased to get out in your M3.

We then did the RSR trackway on the Monday in hired Swifts from Rent4Ring. Such awesome setup cars with fantastic suspension, brakes and tyres. I completed 19 laps on the trackday. There swifts really did keep up and often pass supercars - one of the photos shows us right on the tail of a GT3RS. (I'm in the purple swift)

Being in a rented Swift rather than your own GT3 RS probably helps in willingness to push on a bit 😇

That sounds like the perfect weekend, and you did have the weather for it

Been following your Ring trip on Insta, looked unreal! Swift is definitely on my list to rent next year and give it a go!

That sounds like an awesome trip. After seeing some bad crashes on the ring caused by other cars so out of your direct control I would be too scared to take the 260Z there. Would love to drive the swifts round there though.

I only had one of the laps timed in the swift and it was 9.23 bridge to gantry. Happy with that!

Fair play for taking your pride and joy 911 out for some laps, I’m too chicken and would prob be doing 10min laps in my own car with taking it easy 😂😂

They are good craic, I think this was actually my fastest GPS timed lap, I had a few more around the same sort of time that day.

That is quick sir!! I didn't have the bottle to carry my speed out of Flugplatz and into the next couple of corners before going down into the Fox Hole.. Reckon there's easily 20 seconds to be had in that very short section alone but also the risk of a very high speed crash.
