So finally got my forks back after about 3 months. Got a complete rebuild. Spend an evening with the polish and mop getting the fork legs gleaming. I've now got them on and the bike is now on her on 2 feet. I've still work to do to the wheels but undecided yet. Couldn't help but pull the bike out off the shed and stick the pipes on to see how they looked. I've ordered an alu rad for her do add some extra bling.
I've to still get a rebuild kit for the master cylinders and they can go on.

No I just polished the life out off them with a mop and compound. They came up well. I've an alu rad ordered so it will get the polish treatment too before it goes on

Decided to strip the front brakes down again and powder coat them. I had them sprayed but wasn't happy with the finish. An hour had them coated today got them home rebuilt and put one the bike. So glad I changed them. Took delivery off a nice shinny alloy rad yesterday and the bitch doest fit. Need to have one off the pipes cut and extended to allow the hose to fit on. Bit off a pain but rather that that send it back. Waiting on new rebuild kits for the master cylinders coming and I can get them plumbed up. Also thinking off swapping the bars to a set off straight bars to give her a bit more off a racey feel 😁. The standard bars look ****. Anyone any ideas in bringing the plastics back to life. They look a little tired and have to odd chip and score

We bit more movement with the bike. Picked up the engine this morning. The boys had to have it dipped in acid then blasted but it came out really well. So straight over to work this afternoon to start coating it. Took ages to tape it all up but managed to get the 2 barrels and a side casing done. Tomorrow will finish it then back to the engine builder Monday morning. Getting close to hearing this wee baby running lol

Is indeed. Have her stripped at the minute to do the same as your doing. Will be going back to bounty colours....blue and white.

You're flying along with this.

Are you a member on RDLCCrazy or the 2stokeforum? They love a good build thread.

Nice. Love the blue and white colours. Enjoy building her back up.

Yeah I'm on that rdlc crazy page. Must get a look at the 2stroke fourm. There's a guy on the rdlc page who sells some tasty bits for the aul yams. The bank account has took a massive hit this month 🙈

I got it around 10 years ago, only noticed when we got it home and started to strip it that pretty much the only useable part was the frame. Threw it in boxes and forgot about it.

Dad then recommisioned his Mk2 125LC last summer (he's building another mk1 atm) and that made me want to get mine together and get out for a few rides with him before he's too old for all this. It's not perfect, but it was put together so I could get out this summer with him. Although with the MOT's being closed, mine never got MOT'd in time.

It's an absolute pig to ride at the moment due to some pretty wild porting/tuning.

Had a few weeks off from the Ypvs while I worked on the firestorm I bought off fabio. Picked the engine up today and got it put into the frame. It looks even better than i remembered.
I've the carbs away getting cleaned and rebuilt then the fun starts off putting them together and getting ready for the first start up
