So I will from now on no longer post here.

Walk around video here

I just got this 2007 Audi TT Convertible shipped over from England, it’s a 2007 VR6 3.2 Quattro DSG Convertible with 64k mi on them.

It’s my first DSG car / TT in general.
I wanted DSG , Quattro (due to crash) and Convertible.

I was thinking of a TTS but decided I wanted a v6 (vr6) due to sound.

Car is completely original even the radio

6694C23C-95D8-451B-959C-29D598730954.jpeg

For the first year (mods idea)
TTRS Front bumper (preferably genuine)
TTRS Carbon Fibre lip / splitter (Real not wrapped)
TTS Rear bumper
TTRS Grille (Honeycomb)

TTS Quad tip (Style) Scorpion exhaust
Full new custom manifold headers with sport cats and bigger ported down pipe

Forge Carbon Intake
Radio will be upgraded to fully laminated 9” touch screen.

DSG + Engine Tune

Tiny mods like DSG cooler and all that

Schrick 268 Cams
Coilovers (need to see which ones are best)
Upgraded braces (need to see which ones and where)
New bushings all around

The maybe’s:
New wheels (Yes I know what I want but it’s a lot of money lol)

Haldex performance controller (gen2)

upgraded intake manifold with bigger TB

TTRS cluster swap (mainly for the higher speed showing)

TTRS seats (The recaro ones) black leather

TTRS Rear Wing in Genuine Carbon

All TTS / TTRS emblems will be removed and custom TT VR6 emblems logos etc will be designed and created. So basically like a TTS/RS badge but with VR6 😎

I think the above is expensive enough for the first year lol

If you are planning to do all the TTR/S mods then wheels will have to go along with the style

All that tuning for little gain IMO - intake, exhaust and maybe a remap, job done. I would concentrate more on handling.

Thinking these in either black or gun metal :grinning:
Think they will work very well with the styling

Edited:

Any tips regarding handling ?
Yeah but these mods will help if I go turbo after a year 😳

Talked to my tuner, he said:

No Mods pure stock: 270bhp
Exhaust, Intake Mods: 290bhp

Lets see :grinning:

Each to their own and all but you could you just buy a TTRS instead of throwing thousands at this one, you would have a much better car out of the box and 335bhp to start with, Quattro and a large tuning potential

You won’t. You won’t get anywhere near 20 horse with an exhaust and intake at all. Single figures maybe. And certainly not starting at a baseline of 270 - which you won’t get either.
You want power but won’t go the tried and tested routes - either TTRS or TFSI with a K04 and to be honest, you’re flogging a dead horse with the VR6 which honestly is compromised in many ways.
If it ever sees a reliable late 200s I’ll be surprised/bewildered/amazed.

Agreed, although a VR6 Turbo is a tried and tested route too for power.

Waste of time going n/a on a vr though, albeit I'm going itbs on mine in a mk2 for decluttering the engine bay and noise.

Yeah that’s sort of what I was getting at, a n/a VR has its place but it’s not an untamed powerhouse😂. Really does need the blower for that.

could you tell me which TTRS sounds like a VR6?

interesting because those are the figures i see everywhere.

however , I'm a person who needs proof
if there is not enough info ill be documenting it myself, which will be most likely the route i go for

do mods, dyno, do test and all will be put in 1 nice video :grinning:

might be looking into supercharging
i know its more expensive but i would say more instant power

but havent decided yet
