Only way to properly set the best crossover point is to get it on a dyno, do a run with crossover set low and a run with it set high, Set the VTEC point to the intersection of the high speed cam and the low speed cam.

I don't know F20's but 4500rpm seems rather low, you may well loose power if its set this low.

Exactly how it's done and how Henry Roy mapped my old ek9.

With bolt-ons when mapped correctly the vtec point on my ek9 was only lowered approx 600rpm and that was the optimal vtec crossover point

Ok so wheel dilemma is this.

A set of rota fighter drifts with AD08s will set me back less than £1300

But a set of Wedsport TC105N's WITHOUT tyres will be around £1800

Pics as below (really fancy the TC105Ns but they are pretty expensive. If i went for rotas I could get the oem front and rear spoilers for the same sort of price as the wedsports.

What you guys reckon?

OEM hardtop for me. I'm not keen on the black bits on the side of the Mugen one, and the Spoon one...:-#.

Which wheels are which? I much prefer the middle ones to the ones on the right.

Both are serious £ though, I'd love new wheels but struggling to justify even £700 odd!

First two pics ar ethe jdm Wedsports. Last pic on the moon rock s2k is the rota fighters drift (well actually in the pic they are the real deal ce28n's but fighters have been made to look identical.

Obviously the Wedsports are the far better wheel. Super lihgt, super strong an look brilliant but is the outlay worth it or am I better getting the rotas and outting the money saved into something else like front lip etc.

My brother has bronze rota fighters on his s2000, I am no honda fan, but I love the squat of his with the hardtop so your plans will transform it.

@Vtec Phil I think ive spotted yours around north down if it is.

Here is a photo of my brothers

That looks ace so it does. I'd prob run the rotas without centre caps if I end up going for them. Not keen on the rota centre cap design but in no way would I label them something they are not.

Always said I'd go for Rays 57 Maximum Pro wheels if buying another S2k to modify

It's pretty hard to find the spec I need. I don't want the hassle of rolling arches and most jdm rims come in too low an offset, meaning fenders need rolled.

Need to find rims with a spec of 17x8 +49 front and 17x9 +49 rear. Anything with a lower offset than that on those widths needs fenders rolled :worried:

I do love those TC105N's though. If i can stretch to them I will. If not I'll have to consider fighter drifts, unless I can find another set of jdm which will work.

Are you set on those two wheels? If you are after genuine JDM spilts, you might surprise yourself, with what you can find at handy money. Always thought "mesh", (cross-spoke or whatever they are called) rims looked the ticket.

They do look sick, but offset in those is too low for me. Not a fan of rim poking out past te arch, and running those offsets would need the arches rolled in some way.

If you're looking at wheels there is no better wheel on an s2000 than the enkei rpf1, true story

jairo52.jpg
Lovely wheel but requires fenders to be rolled for clearance. Really don't fancy having them rolled :worried:
Wheel choices are so limited for that very reason

You'd be surprised what widths and offsets you'll get away with.

Going off s2ki not much mate :worried: anything lower than +49 on an 8" front and +49 9"rear rubs
