Here we go again :worried:.

I'm after one of the following;

Golf/Bora/Passat 4motion
Impreza turbo
Legacy/Outback 2.5
A3/A4 Quattro

Must have below 100k miles and be below £4k.

There's also an 02 A4 Avant 2.5tdi V6 Quattro with 103k miles but she has no kit. It's around the £2k mark somewhere.

that audi looks a belter

tbh honest you wont like impreza interiors, especially classics! - they are what id describe as plastic taxi interiors!
To me as long as the seat is confortable, radio works and leccy windows, I really dont mind. Much of it is modable if really desperate too.

Too many miles Nicky.

I think I could put up with a Classic if it was a good original example, but prefer the interior of the 01- models.

There's a 3.0i manual X5 for £4500 too, but head says no!

Manual X5 would be less troublesome than the auto actually but maybe be as nice a drive and the 3.0 is gutless, I tested one before going to england for the 4.6.

3.x is into newage, not many for sale in NI though so youd need to factor in plane and boat back.

If not a problem then even better, loads across the water, the likes of the 01/02 bugeye models are 270 a year tax etc.
Standard bugs and blobs are ten a penny like this one (screaming for a little lowering and rear spoiler if I was being picky.

Jeepers that is literally perfect.

Is tax on the 03 ones £270 too?

However after the Skoda experience, mainland buying is out. With the exception of a 50 mile radius of Edinburgh.

Not too bothered about power. I know the auto boxes and turbos/injectors on the diesel give bother, but as the 3.0i manual woul have none if these what else is prone to going on X5's?

Auto boxes, Electrics (heating system has a quirky battery drain part that needs replacing), door handles and orange led display starts to garble . My X5 has done pretty much every one of these bar the led speedo display. some are a lot cheaper to fix than others :worried:
