Guys thank you so much for your support I am genuinly humbled by you all.
We buried him today and the funeral could not have went better.

Ive a dark sense of humour so to lift the mood and someone in public transport I can’t resist this. “Dad passed away peacefully in his sleep,,, not like the 23 screaming passengers in his bus”!

Well at long last I got the car out of the garage today to see how it looks in the light. Not to shabby. New tires to go on and a bit of fine tuning to the engine and that hopefully will be it done.

Prices on anything even remotely "classic" are just out of control at the moments, people pay that much for old Novas and Escorts :mask:

Brilliant job on this one, just read the whole thing from start to finish. Hope you keep it to enjoy it, maybe a nice memory of your dad as well (y)

Already knew you had a nice Italian collection, somehow missed this one  Keep it up!

Aye and I still haven't finished it, should have had as its really down to a bit of detailing, emissions set for mot and change over 3 tires, but I decided to spruce my garage up as it was annoying me!

at £0 you are practically giving it away!

edited - I see the price elsewhere. Pretty decent! If the car could talk I'd love to hear what tales it had from it's time as a 49er

Definitely the right thing to do in my opinion. You've had your time with it and ticked that box. Current classic car values are hard to ignore!

TBH I never thought about values, it’s pretty much the cheapest one with the miles and history it has. I agreed 5 years ago to buy ****** from a really close friend who unfortunately passed away almost 2 years ago now and his Wife put the car away and told me to lift it when I was ready. Other personal things have happened in the 2 years since hence only now am I ready to sort things out.

Just a little update as I only got working today.

Jack bag cleaned and soaked in leather balm as it is a little stiff.

Spare wheel bay now finally cleaned and finished.

Drivers side final polish

And front end final polish, well apart from a little mark I noticed on the front panel that needs a little buff out.
