Doesnt exist anymore.

But it does!
Any development in Northern Ireland with over 5 residential units SHOULD be adopted by DfI Roads through a process.

But as @pizza85 has said, adoption doesnt always = maintenance.

Aye, but how long does the process take and when does it kick in? Some developments are massive and the first few houses might’ve been handed over years before the full thing is finished!

At least if it’s been adopted then there is a proper channel to make a claim. More likely to get something out of the government than a contractor.

Well the Geotechnical Certification for the adoption of internal development roads usually takes 2 years to obtain for a scheme but ideally should be conductede along side the scheme progressing so that handover coincides with adoption. Developments should not have partial final surfacing unless they have phased their works which need to be approved by planning. Final surfacing isnt allowed until adequate settlement reviews are conducted and accepted by DfI.

Temporary surfacing isnt specified anymore, i havemt seen it in the 8 years of designing roads and reinstatement works. But that doesnt mean it isnt used so my apologies i sometimes forget contractors do what they want hahah.

Fitted dash cams to both motors. One camera needed a new battery soldered in which was a 10 minute job once I found my solder which I’d put in a safe place of course.

Both cars required MOT, and was fortunate enough to get a date at short notice and meant both went today. Success for both thankfully!! Standard MOT ramp picks are no more with Covid, so had to do the standard Steering and lane number picture instead. Golf was heavily complimented by the tester which is nice to hear.

You still have to stand outside? Mallon was saying that all over on the radio a while back!
