Got my Renewal letter is through the door from Abbey/Axa and it was £1213 which is £213 more than previous year. When I rang them they offered to match last years quote but said that was all they could do. I rang admiral as my parents are with them as is one of my brothers. Got a quote from them with there Multi Car discount and my quote was £530.

at 19 how come its so dear? im 20 an was doing quotes with no ncb outa interest on golfs, vtr's not overally big insurance groups and was only getting quotes of 2200 etc.
then i decided to use my ncb i was gonna use for the van policy an its down to 1100 odds. some drop! i would cancel and try again thats not right.

Yes. £2700 was the best I could get. In January I could have had a Civic Type-R for £1600. This price hike almost killed me.

It was gift from my parents, probably because I got really good exams results, so I can drive up to Uni rather than staying there at £95/week. Plus it's my birthday in just over a months time...

Lovely cars IMO. That's what my dad was going to get me until he seen the price of insurance, let's just say it was a lot more than the Clio I have. However one day I'll have a Type-R.

Nicky, that was the cheapest i could get ANYWERE. The corsa is a write off now but the Dturbo is still looking at £3k for insurance. Dont know why it's so dear but need to bite the bullet.
