Last year I paid £1250, then renewal came through last week at £1450, I near fell off my seat! Shopped about and done the whole moneysupermarket/confused thing. Got a quote for £810 from Admiral. Rang Elephant to cancel as I got an email the day before the policy was up saying it was going to auto-renew! They cancelled the renewal and said they could match the Admiral quote (seeing as they are the same company).

Then I told them I forgot about my Mum getting 3 points a couple of months ago, they said no problem and added it onto their system. Dropped the premium by £4
Literally don't understand the insurance system!

Interestingly, i had a policy i took out on the car when i bought it a few months ago, with the post office, for £2200. Checked prices a few weeks back and for some reason it was £1200 cheaper, cancelled old policy and took out a new one, saving £100 a month now! Hilariously its the exact same cover and exact same company... messed up but im not complaining tbh​
