I’m with you @stevyg Personally I think the R lights are hideous too!! Originals far nicer.

@svensktoppen The two-tone harks back to the motorsport cars of the 1960s & 70s. If you look up google images for "911 RSR" or "vintage 911R" you’ll see the factory Gulf livery for example had mandarin bumpers front and rear, same with Kremer cars, and Martini livery often had red bumpers. I guess it was easy to paint them. That era of 911 became popular as they won Daytona, Le Mans, set records and appeared in Steve McQueen Le Mans movie so I assume that’s why a lot of modern restoration-mod cars have latched onto it.

Bit of history for you @svensktoppen

This Kremer 911 RSR was a championship-winning Porsche poster child

It’s worth Googling Frank Cassidy Porsche. That’s his yellow car The Daniel posted. He has a sweet orange one too, but over the past year has been developing a huge automotive business hub type place in England called Boxengasse. A load of specialist car places are moving there eg Autofarm Porsche. He is an interesting guy to read about/follow.

Manual one for you @Ghisallo

Lots of good stuff done to it, albeit not sure about the wheels.

The car was fitted with a GT2 Clutch at 85k miles by Paragon Porsche with written proof from their to verify. Its been tastefully improved with both handling and engine making it a really great drivers car. Semi solid engine mounts and semi solid gearbox mounts. Short shift conversion. Bilstein B16s, H&R three way adjustable front and rear anti roll bars, adjustable front and rear lower control arms set up by Parr. 6 pot GT3 brakes, motorsport discs and Pagid pads. I really prefer 996 Turbo convertibles as I think the coupes generally lack "occasion" and have an ugly roof line. Take the roof off and the two issues are solved!

Is that a Porsche? Stunning thing, don't think I've seen it before... But not too clued up on the old stuff :innocent:

Even the steel wheels are perfection there!
