Yeah the 2.7 in the 3 is pretty prone to dying but if well serviced they can still go on forever. That one seems crazy cheap @NickR.

Back to black, that’s a full circle move as you say. Will look great I’m sure once it turns up. Any clarity on spec issues?
yes all is there, bar clear sight/soft close/sunglasses/beck of seat USB's - which we all know about. All else is there, big screen, IDD, tow bar, etc. I removed the Comfort pack as that money for a fridge is crazy (wireless charging std on HSE, but no booster). Also removed climate pack - waste of money also.

Sticking with the LR 22's and Donnelly's painting the callipers red - Mr Smyth will do the rest:heart_eyes:

Clear sight I would likely order if it was available but no big issue if not there. Likewise soft close would be nice but no biggie. Big screen and IDD all good news for you.

yeah, totally agree. When I saw the Silver on the road (with black pack), then the demo black X dye HSE with 22's - was a no brainer. Best colour is Carp or the Black, plus it helps it look smaller - eeks! A 110 sitting side beside new Range Rover, not much difference in length. New RR is totally class, can see myself in one in my later years :grinning:

Never any bother with wait times? I always thought they were booked up ages in advance? How do they fair price wise? Handy enough to me so would be interesting if my misconceptions were wrong!

Never had to wait more than a week. Prices very reasonable

For those who were asking about putting a Landrover warranty on one should you buy one without I was in with the service guys today doing my own homework.

Yes it can be done if the car is less than 10 years old and under 100k miles. Works out at £1740 per year which can alps be paid interest free over 10months. Can get it for 1500 odds as well without the recovery/replacement vehicle.

If the warranty has lasped on it, they need to inspect it first for £192 then send the report to the Landrover warranty people when done so it can be applied.

Service wise I was pricing for a 5.0 SC L405 but a 6 year service works out around 6/700 quid, 7 year service a grand and 10 year service is the big one and is 2200.

Didn't think any of that was unreasonable so I be the Cayenne is gone I'd say that's what will replace it

Added some yellow goodness to our RRC - it had a mad lift kit on it (part of its RNLI heritage) so it's on normal height now. Would love to have reverted to airsprings on this, but stuck with the coils and shocks. The old items were well manky. New ones powdercoated yellow, the springs just about fitting into the kitchen-oven I picked up for free from marketplace. All easily fitted, such a joy to work on. Car feels like new(er) now.

Still have an ABS lamp that I am procrastinating about, so that's next (Wabco accumulator)

Have seen you about in it quit a few times and it really is a cracker, old Land Rovers are 100% the easiest things to work on (bar rusty bolts).

They are currently booked into October/November for services etc but will try and fit you in for breakdown etc

Price wise the labour is £50 an hour I think. Used to be £45

I would be wary of going by LR service schedule. 150K for gearbox oil change for example.

BLRC said it’s far too long. I got mine changed at 70K there. I also changed all the diff oils, transfer box oil and ACE fluid at the last service for peace of mind. And it was cheaper than the quote from hursts for the service which was basically an oil and filter and a few other small things.

Yeah, would definitely get them all done earlier, same as my L322. Way too long that!

What engine have you in yours again and how has it been(apart from the Strangford ferry incident)?

Had my heart set on a 5.0 SC, but the SDV8 is also on the list and would probably suit the RR better?

Mine is the SDV8. Great engine. It had an issue with the oil cooler leaking but it’s common issue on the V6 and V8 engine anyway.

I’d love an SVR but the Milage I do it would cost a fortune. Although the V8 diesel int exactly fuel efficient either 😂

That's good to know, reliable enough then.
We went and seen an SVR the other day there but as soon as she got in it was a nope. Too small feeling inside, even compared to the Cayenne. So has to be a FFRR.
They sound incredible though, but again she rightly said it's a big wafty jeep that we want/need that can be used for across the fields and towing the odd cattle trailer lol, not a performance SUV.
