yeah sold the other car in March 2019. Had owned it 15 years!

Coscast head off to get the valves reseated and I’ll get the valve stem oil seals done at the same time

New loom arrived for me to switch over to DTA management

interior out and car loom removed. I’m sending the loom for a Refurb.

also torqued the head onto its new head gasket

Here is the car when it was it’s original factory calypso red. It was on its original 1.6 GTE engine which was turbocharged by Courtenay.

Should I repaint it calypso or keep the purple? DILEMA!!

My brother had a calypso red one many moons ago and it was a fantastic colour. Ended up going to cork.

Whatever happens its a well known car and its only going to add to its history and improve the car. If you were going back to original engine I would say go back to factory colour, otherwise i'd keep it purple or chose something completely different - your car - your story now, no point going backwards

I need to get cracking. It’s booked for the body shop in Jan. Should get it up on the spit this weekend, remove all the underseal then get it booked for blasting.

You can. But there’s not much requirement. With steel rods and forged pistons, bigger Turbo they can easily make 450-500bhp. Which is completely wasted in a Nova lol
