Some minor changes done.

Fitted the all important 'Potato' stickers in Porsche font to the calipers.

And a new radio. Went for a Blaupunkt Bremen sqr 46 to give a more period correct look but Bluetooth, dab etc features too.

Also took the doorcards off and put in membranes and tried to get the top of them sitting better....and failed to do that on the rears at least. No photos of this as it's boring 😂

Then in May went to the MLVW Europrojekt show in Kilbeggan for the weekend which included a wee road run on the Saturday. Fantastic show and really chilled out weekend. Took non VAG car of the show trophy home.

Then this weekend just passed I did a c. 700 mile round trip to Players Classic at Goodwood via Caffeine and Machine both ways.

Got to the accommodation, which was bloody great and took the chance for a few photos with Jayme and Ross's cars on Sunday evening.

No Players Classic trophies this year, but not surprised as the standard of cars was brilliant and I've won at this show with this car in 2018 and 2019 already!

Next up will be Eurotreffen in Larne, then VAGE in Cork and Rollhard in Bicester.

I am entirely motivated to get my MK2 Golf finished for Players Classic next year, so will just be keeping the E34 as tidy as possible and enjoying it while getting that ready.

Busy few months.

First up, Eurotreffen. Great day out and the stage was a brilliant addition and took home a trophy. Got to stand up and talk ***** with @natogreen16v

Then a run down to Cork for the VAGE show, again great day out. Was a weekend down visiting friends but a lot of stuff turned up that you wouldnt normally see. Took home best non VAG. Have no photos as I spent my time talking more ***** to people.

Then the big one, over to Bicester Heritage for Rollhard. Outrageously warm, but excellent as always. Probably consistently my favourite show, everything about it is great (aside from the heat this year).
There was a slightly hush hush (in advance) pre meet on the Saturday evening. Really nice wee evening catching up with people I only see when over at shows in the mainland.

Then the show, as said, it was ****ing warm, so was grateful to be under the trees 😂

Top tip, don't offer to lift the car up and you get to avoid the outer deck on the ferry 😂

Next up Cleanfest in Edinburgh entered last minute and got an indoor spot. Usually a good weekend so will be fun. Then Titanic Dubs and that's it for a while as I put the golf together. This has got tired in places so there may be some pulling apart and redoing things on the horizon....

Don't be that negative, it'll be the Jetta!

Tbh it was you lot at Rollhard made me say feck it and enter Cleanfest waiting for the ferry back.

I've to MOT this too. Got a test date for Monday, so gives me time to fix whatever it might fail on, should be nothing but never know.

I'm glad we're all such bad influences on each other 😂

Here's hoping for a pass and pints in Edinburgh 😁

Busy few weeks.

First up Cleanfest. Got asked to be on a podium, so was chuffed with that.
PXL_20220911_141627060.jpg

Then to top off a great weekend I took home the 'Best Interior' award.

PXL_20220911_153843982.jpg

Then was the Deutsch Collective show at Scarva House. Great weekend and lovely, relaxing show. Took home runner up car of the show at that which was a bit of a surprise given the fantastic cars at the show!

Not entirely sure what's next. I'll be keeping using the car over winter a bit and will try and tidy some bits up for next year, but main focus will be on the Golf.

Looking great. I shall have a good look at this at Dubshed.

One of the main reasons I am going to Dubshed for the 1st time in over 15years.

I love this, it's a credit to you.

Cheers guys. Don't look too close as theres a few bits just starting to show their age on it :joy:

But in fairness it's near 5 years from it was painted and it's had a heck of a lot of miles put on it / a lot of abuse since then!

Doesn't matter, only cars that are trailer queens are always perfect. You'll see my Civic is far from perfect also.

Oh I am sure I will be disgusted with it up close lol...

I jest, it's the combination of it all, it just works so well.

Well I saw it eventually and it didn't disappoint....

Had 3 mates with me that had never seen or heard of it before and they are agreed with me, car of the show in our humble opinion.

It's a credit to you @cauld1
