That's amazing! So much effort (and great results) on a 'track slag'

So was not happy with the finish at the rear so when painting I put a couple of extra coats on. Started sanding and over to moon with the results.

Lots more to do but encouraging. Not expecting perfection just a bit of gloss

Slipped down to kirky today with @IL for a few laps. Probably 10 in total but nice to give the car a wee shakedown before trackskills in Aug.

and only caught a few Lap times but consistently 1:11. I reckon this car would be good for 1:05 if I had the stones for it. The 1:03 doesn’t count lol it was an in lap

Hadn’t seen this since it had been painted, then scrolled back and you had painted it in your garage. Fair play, you’ve put a shed load of work into this and it’s really paid off, looks so much fresher with the new paint.

Looks great on both sets of wheels as well, I quite like the track ones especially!

Legend. Great thread. Can I ask the geek questions please?
1. What gun pressure
2. Nozel size
3. Cheap Chinese gun or a devilbiss masterpiece

That flatter down great my worry with direct gloss is sanding one part more than another and having shade differences due to thickness of paint.
Great work.

Lovely. If it was mine I'd be tempted to stick a few fluorescent accents on it, like maybe yellow wing-mirrors, or something for that "track toy" look

Class, who did those if you don't mind me asking? I would love to get the Integra's calipers refurbished sometime in the future.

Where did you send them?

A refurb makes a real difference.

There is a refurb kit for the fronts from AP, not hard to do. Really improves them after a few years, especially with lots of track days. Done mine twice now.

Not so easy to get parts for the rear Brembos. It's an oddball caliper, some ancient Renault thing used on the Lotus and the original Viper, combining main brake and hand brake in the same caliper. There is a Brembo refurb kit but it's not complete, just a few seals and stuff. It's the pistons that go and they're harder to find for some reason. Can still be got but I ended up buying new rear calipers though.
