Small update on the 5aye after finally getting home for longer than a few days...

She went through MOT without doing much but an o2 sensor.

Rear mv4s had 2 bodge job repairs that have shown their face so the inspiris are on till they're fixed. Might as well refurb them whilst off also.

Done the p.e mod to the back box (sounds well but not over bearing) although haven't changed the tips just yet

Rear abs sensor was playing up so replaced that today.

All the discs, pads, braided lines and spruce up under each corner should be happening Thursday along with replacing the halos

Bought a second hand set of msport skirts and rear bumper, brand new m3 rep front bumper and an mperformance rear diffuser and the car should be going in to the booth at the start of August to be left tidy including the wheels so apart from the diff and concentrating on perserving and maintenance, that should be it done! 😁

Few pics until then:

Get the back boxes cut open and solid pipe put in, cheap mod I never got round to doing, there’s a link for it somewhere.

Brakes and all on, pretty much hassle free bar one of the brake shoe adjusters not wanting to adjust open after winding it in, wee douse of 2040 on it after removing the new disc again sorted that.

Had painted one caliper silver but it was gash so went high temp gloss black again and whilst there I threw a wire brush and fired some paint round some rusty bits underneath that were looking a bit rough....

Thanks to @Woodcutter for the quality discs, the aluminium coating that stays once the pads make their mark are a good touch, my wife's are on hers 8 months or so and still look split new!

Thanks to @Boabybooster also for the paint runs I hadda sand off the calipers too before painting them (jk)

Never got the braided lines on for didn't have anyone to pump the pedal...

Managed to fit in fixing my mas chitroen C5 suspension and washing the Merc too! Sum pup.

Can't wait till the bumpers etc are on

Sometimes I forget and lift off just after a little boost and kaboom lol. I'll have to turn it down a bit though for I feel a bit like a Bora pigeon po'er 😀

Still no diffuser on yet but she's home and all and I can only say that Alan has left it right!

I had got the wheels done thinking theyll sell better but now I might keep them!

@Woodcutter can you do me two plates tomorrow? Whatever you think suits please

Looks great, have to say it looks even nicer in person, real cool looking car. Pretty much a sleeper as it performs much better than I reckon most people would assume.
