Did some real actual work today, cleaning paving stones, and it was horrible, lol :innocent: Great result though.

Never went as far as Stonebright, decided to start off lighter with just the TFR as I have tons of it and it seems to work for cleaning just about anything :grinning: And the result was brilliant just with that, so no need to go for the acid treatment.

Before:

After a quick power wash:

Then applying TFR. Got slightly worried when everything turned a deep yellow, lol :grinning: Presumably the TFR reacting with all the ingrained organic matter?

Nothing to worry about though. A bit of elbow with a hard brush with the TFR in place, creating a nice frothy yellow foam, lol. And then just a final power wash. Turned out brilliantly.

There are more stones up behind the border on the left in the top picture. Never used the TFR there, as there is no edging to stop run-off into the flower bed. Not sure if it would be toxic to the plants? Especially after seeing what it did to all the ingrained dirt and muck on these stones.

Sorry to all who have Pmd me over the last couple of days - I'm replying to everyone now. Just back from a wedding at the Slieve Russell and was off grid a bit!

@Big Pimp see the big rig and 5 or 7 cubes away threw Fivemiletown there. Looks well lad.

You away to @weeloaney
Hello mate...... You should have beeped or flashed the lights! Thanks for noticing me dude!

Just home and washed up!

Long day in her...... Was at the yard for 10 to get her loaded...... 5 cubes to go to Ballygalley outside Larne, and then the 2 at the back to go to Bellanaleck outside enniskillen!

Made it about a mile down the road and realised that the alternator wasn't charging the batteries.

Got my mechanic mate who done all he work on it to come and get me jump started and took it round to his yard. Tipped the cab, and yep..... Alternator dead...... And those cubes had to be delivered today!

We strapped up a booster pack to keep a charge on the battery, took a spare one with me and set on my merry way. Made it to Ballygalley for just after 4. Took just over an hour to get the 5 cubes emptied, and then beat it to enniskillen where I arrived on site for just after 8. Got tipped and was leaving for 9. Went back to the office through Armagh and got her parked up and beat it home!

Just shy of 500km and she was a beaut to drive! And not even an offer of a cup of tea from @weeloaney!

Sounds like a fun day.

Also, low dig, I didn't even know you were down. ;)

I was still in enniskillen at 8ish as well.

Ross, any easy method of cleaning PVC fascia and guttering etc ? It's white or supposed to be, has a layer of green on it.

I can handle lower areas I guess with a soft brush and a bucket full of some sort of bubbly stuff?

I used jif and once cleaned put colinite wax on it so each year now it's just wipes off with a cloth.

Ross, do you do a wheel cleaner? Probably be in this thread somewhere but it's at 59 pages now!
Also, I think @weeloaney posted a pic of a satin tyre dressing, what product is that?

I'm out of snow foam, shampoo and wheel cleaner so will be placing an order soon.

Check the first post, list and prices updated there.

Ultra brite is a strong acid wheel cleaner, articulate tfr removes most off wheels tho.

Ultra sheen is the Matt tyre dressing and ultra slick is the Shiney one I believe

As stated the tfr will act as a wheel cleaner and you don't need to use much of it as it dilutes well.

@Deezer-D I don't know what part of the country you are in but @Woodcutter supplies it up north and I think @PeteMoore has it round Lisburn.
If you're really stuck I have 25l of it and could sort you with some.

Thanks for the offer @jonny_w , much appreciated but I'm in no hurry

I do, but as a few others have recommended, a cream cleaner which has a mild abrasive in it will clean very effectively.

Those magic sponges are a great job too for PVC fascia etc.

Yes mate, again, as a few have mentioned Articulate is my TFR but is brilliant for wheels also. UltraBrite is a much stronger albeit very specialised acid wheel cleaner, and I'd only recommend it for certain cleaning jobs.

Finally, I offer 2 tyre dressings - a satin finish (ultra sheen) or a shiney finish (UltraSlick)
