Not much of a German fan but that looks fantastic.
I was in one a few months ago being used to taxi (Valuecabs or Fona) but honestly could barely differentiate between it and a passat. A bit nicer looking, but couldn't say it was any more refined or upmarketVW Arteon Shooting Brake. They've been out for a couple of years but I've never seen one.

Given Jag called mine a Sportbrake, that leaves a very short list of sports you can do in the back of a pickup, if that is how the name originatesBecause it sounds more posh than "estate"![]()
I believe "shooting break" originally was more like a glorified pickup, designed to literally take shooters out in the countryside for a bit of sport without having to use their own legs, lol. Hence the name. Or something along those lines at least.
Seen one of these in person last year at VW Boucher, very cool cars and given most super saloons are now losing their ‘exotic’ engines it’s every bit as special as them in my book. The R engine is rapid and capable too with a map.VW Arteon Shooting Brake. They've been out for a couple of years but I've never seen one.

Insert ‘Princess Anne had one of those you know’ comment. In my mind, a sporty shooting brake is 3 door estate/long hatch. Like a Reliant Scimitar
Tells you the history in the ad. Was bought by Silvio Berlusconi....Did they actually build that? Or some one-off custom build kind of thing?
Probably featured in a Bunga Bunga partyI'm trying to decide if that makes it better or worse![]()
