They used to have a following among motorhomers as a tow car.

The second-generation A-Class (W169) three-door is something I only became aware of in the past few weeks. Speaking to a friend they're not that incredibly rare so I'm not totally sure why I can't recall ever seeing one. I don't know if I didn't know it existed in the first place or if I simply blotted that out somehow.

Normally you wouldn't bat an eyelid at a first/second gen A Class :joy:

Only maybe now as you don't see any/many on the road

Wasn't the 3 door / 5 door some SWB/LWB sort of setup?

Also the engines designed for them were specific to the A-Class and were at a hell of an angle to fit partly under the floor. Mercedes M166/M266 engine.

Wouldn't take much to make that into an appealing looking hatch back. Especially if it had the 2.0 190bhp turbo model, could be a bit of a sleeper with a few bolt ons and a map.

Damn it, you had me out browsing the classifieds 😁

It's a Jazz in Japanese. There is an RS "hot" version, JDM only. It comes in Orange. It has fast seats and alloy wheels. Brilliant 😁

The Jazz is an incredibly practical car for it's size, although the hot version is still only 120bhp, and is a standard engine in the fit shuttle. Actually I better watch, starting to know too much about the Honda Jazz 8o|

There was a Mugen 150hp supercharged verson too, which would be plenty of power for it I think
