David said the rear beam was knackered which wasn’t surprising. Full rebuild kit coming for it. All the above is going to be left like new. Akin to something like this:

The above is from a Saxo Dave recently had his mitts on.

This is a “Group A” pedal - I’m not 💯 on what that is but I’m assuming the throttle is a good bit wider or maybe it’s more offset to the right to avoid big feet messing things up!

The modified insert for the strut looking rather crusty. Thought process here is we are going for a setup that will allow adjustment to caster and camber. I’ll be keeping these though as you can’t get them now - question is what to do with them??

Maybe V6 dad’s China Blue and Dimma it…

Crazy to see the car this way but it should be epic!!

It’s the little touches brought in by David that I’m loving! This is part of the spare wheel holder. Earlier pictures you’ll get a better overall idea.

Nothing crazy to report just she’s on a spit now.

Some rust issues but David reckons nothing overly serious and certain nothing to worry about which is great.

Car has now tripled in value with the finding of this… ex-works car now, practically.

Interestingly I found a Dimma in Belgium which is a steel bodied car like mine but it’s got the decals and a GTI-6 engine. Guy is looking €40k 😳 Obviously that’s mental money for the car and what it is advertised for means nothing but interesting none the less.

Just need Flints signature on it now to complete the list.

Just a short reel from Red Hill Motorsports IG. Things slowed a little because David got an Impreza in for some work plus it would give me a bit of breathing space. Car is getting blasted at this point so this is a restoration job now!! Not exactly what I was wanting but as often happens you start to see issues that need sorting. In for a penny in for (several) pound and all that jazz. A lot of cleaning on the inside and underneath. David reckons we are past the worst part.

Know the feeling. Best to nip it in the bud now then you can enjoy the car for many years to come 😎

Looking forward to seeing this complete Patrick, still a fantastic looking machine - Dimmas don't seem to age at all

Great work so far and look forward to seeing it finished. Love those Peugeot emblem touches, very neat and no doubt will disappear when the interior is put back in.

Yeah I think that’s just it. No point crying about it and just accepting that it is much better in the long run.

I agree there is just something about them. I feel very lucky to have one.

Some very cool touches that David has put on the car. I feel like a little child when he sends me photos and I see what he has come up with. I really cannot wait to see it done - I feel like it’s going to be pretty mind blowing for me personally to have a build of this level.

Wee Bit of an update as it has been quiet except David has been hard at work. As you can see sand blasting was underway this past week...

David reported he was happy with what he saw and no major issues at all when the car was blasted. He sent me a video saying "I'd say you didn't think we would have your 306 back to the steel this time last year". He was right but I think the build will be all the better for it TBH. Then in the last couple of days David primer'ed it...

I got another video where David said he may have gone mad with the Zinc plating....
