So I’m finished (I hope) the MOT prep for tomorrow and have started to build a second set of headlights. I’m doing things a little different this time round as I wasn’t happy with the work I’d done on the first set, not to mention the fact that the ccfl angel eyes failed.
This time I’m using a black bezel and “cotton” led angel eyes. Oh…. And I’m also attempting to fit Demon eyes as well lol.
Also as these were the original headlights from the car and have all clips intact, I’m hoping they’re less likely to mist up when finished in the wetter months of the year. Have one nearly done, just have to polish up the lenses.

So, here she is in “MOT Spec”. I know a lot of folk won’t like what I’ve done, but I had realised that the “new” rear lights technically don’t have a reflector incorporated in them like the factory lights did, so I got some reflective tape and borrowing an idea from a Skoda Octavia vRS round the corner from me, I put a strip across the top of the bumper insert.

Thanks lads, and @PDK which half of the car do you want? 
So as it has passed and as the test was in Lisburn and as I was alone in the car, I took the scenic route home via Dundrod and the Seven Mile straight giving it the beans the full way home. Had such a giggle driving it! Stuck to the road like sheeeeiiitteee to a blanket!
Remind me again, why was I thinking of a non turbo Scooby?

Truthfully it’s never been off. As yet I’ve not had one serious offer.
Not one person has been out to see the car of the few offers I’ve considered (but they’ve turned out to be timewasters).
I’m not going for a cash sale because like here, people want it for £500 and if anyone thinks they’re gonna get it for that are on some serious gear!
However as I’ve said before, I’ll happily hold on to it because in my mind it’s an epic car!

Today and this evening I finished building the headlights. I opted for new lenses as the old ones just weren’t coming up at all when polishing due to the fact they were so badly stone chipped and scratched.
I’m glad I did to be goes to as the overall result is much more striking in my mind. Just need to get them aligned.
So this is the before:

I think they’re much better looking than my previous attempt. The dark bezel is a really nice touch and the “cotton led” angel eyes as recommended by @Big Pimp and maybe @roverspeed are simply amazing!
I also met with @BMW_AL today and picked up a K&N filter which I’ve yet to fit.
