Should be reverse grid based on championship position.
How would reverse grid work? It would be fun for the fans but it would be total chaos for the big teams. It's fun to watch 1 RB, Ferrari or Merc that had problems in qualifying fight through the grid but for those top 3 teams having all 6 cars fight each other while trying to get through the back markers who are also fighting with each other who already need no help wiping each other out would be destruction derby. You would be lucky if 1 car from each team finished the race. Why put all the money, time, and effort into building a great team, fast car and pay the best drivers just to be thrown to the back of the grid? Makes no sense. Very counterintuitive.
Pretty much what I was going to say. Any time someone takes a penalty or has a shocking Q1 from the top 3 teams, by the end of the race they are back into the top 6. Ok, that's maybe 1 out of 20 cars, but to have all 6 cars are the back might be a different proposition. Besides, the great drivers should be able to overtake the mid-tier with ease and not rely on grid position all the time (*coughcough*Vettel*cough*).On a reverse grid Williams still still be last and a second down by end of first straight
Reverse grid is a horrible idea, little enough over taking, aero would need a big over haul
That and any RB/Ferrari/Merc drivers serving engine/gearbox penalties usually have no trouble clearing most of the midfield teams. The only reason I can see Merc opposing it is that they don't want to add another variable to their winning formula. What do you mean? Reverse grid would add massive amounts of overtaking, not take some away.
Qualifying should be a one lap run on foot for each driver imo. What about reverse grid by swapping seats? Sounds like good craic
Vettel will be pushing everyone off the track!Qualifying should be a one lap run on foot for each driver imo.
Button in a ferrari .. show then how it’s doneWhat about reverse grid by swapping seats? Sounds like good craic

Huge aero over haul is happening for next year along with the 18” wheels. Simpler Front and rear wings, less winglets and crap on the body, possibly wheels dished closed and some ground effect all to make the air cleaner behind the car.I don’t think it would, dirty air and circuit dependant imo Aero needs an over haul, more simple means more overtaking!

Dammit. Didn’t see thatIt’s been put back to 2022, but I’ll believe the simple aero when I see it!!
Great news, I hope she does well.Good news for Jamie Chadwick:
