There was a story yesterday about Horner trying to buy the RB race team out from under RB Austria.
That must have put a few noses out of place, and all this is now the fall out.

It's not nice to say, but a sexual harassment claim seems to be used, sometimes, as a the way for corporations to get rid of people.

Well, if there is a power struggle (no idea if there is or not, that's all speculation obviously) then people will play any cards they can. That's hardly a surprise.

But it wouldn't be an issue if someone hadn't been a bit naughty in the first place. You make your bed and all that. Can't really call foul when caught out.

So basically we have some plotting and scheming inside Red Bull. And we have some plotting and scheming against Ben.

Excellent, so something to talk about as the actual championship is already over and done 😅

Also rumours going about that if Horner leaves then Max will go to Mercedes for 2025.
I can't work out Jos' angle for destroying RB/Horner. They have the best car, and his son is almost guaranteed two more titles with them before the rule change.

And the "new" rules from 2026 don't really affect the chassis/aero all that much. It's mainly an engine thing. So they will carry the advantage through there as well.

The devcaps mean it is impossible to catch up, even if someone knew what exactly Red Bull are doing that clearly nobody else is.

When you have an entire field of cars more closely matched than ever before, except for one car able to pull several seconds per lap at will. Well, that's the sport dead. Doesn't matter if there is some "clever" reading of rules going on, or if that's genuinely how much cleverer that team has been, or whatever.

The sport is dead, because it is obviously not a level playing field. Not saying that is Red Bull's fault. It's just a fact.

The front few teams/drivers are going to have to start being super aggressive with Max in the first corner, put him in a position where he will either need to back out of it or crash.
The way Lecerc backed out of the first corner on Saturday caused everyone else to then bunch up behind him and Max pulled 3 or 4 car lengths which was him gone for the rest of the race.

It's hard to be aggressive with an aggressor 😆

At least you'd have a 90% chance of Sargeant taking a few of the Top runners out on the first few laps (Alpine should be safe enough).

Is the cost cap the issue though? RB seem to have changed the car completely from last year and have nailed it again, probably meaning they just understand the ground effects best. 3 years into these rules and still nobody getting close to Max in the RB.

RB seem to have all areas nailed. Even through free practice their program seemed more organised and methodical. Strategy, pitstops, reliability, everything super slick. Although I understand their unpopularity at times, surely they must be considered one of the best F1 teams ever

Going to be an interesting season. Max is going to win, it will be typical. After he leads afew laps he will be off

Much like last year I'll be paying attention to who comes second and third.

Yes, I don't think it's Red Bull's fault that they have nailed whatever it is they are doing that nobody else has done.

But it's still a problem for the sport when the rest of the pack is so close, and one team is seconds per lap quicker. You'd have to go back to things like the first turbo cars or active suspension, when nobody else had those things, to even get remotely like the advantage Red Bull are enjoying.

Back then, teams could just develop a new engine or a completely new chassis in a season and catch up. That's simply impossible now with the budget cap.

Now we need reverse grid or you are all going to go ga ga with f1 boredom
Sooner we get a reverse grid race the better. We need to get a trial to see how it works.

I think we will see a reverse grid sprint race this year if RB continue to dominate.
A sprint race might be too short for it to work but at least if would be more info.

That Red Bull Max is driving has several seconds a lap on everyone else. He would win from the back, and did last year if memory serves. He could probably go in reverse and still win 😅 A reverse grid would just be for the DTS crowd. Which is fair enough. Would be ok in the sprint probably as there are few points in it. But I suspect it would just descend into a farce of everyone trying to qualify the worst, or game it in any other way they could.
