Another happy member here who's just gone with Greenlight for the first time (y)

Beat my renewal by over £100 and £50 odds from next nearest reputable company  Alternative limited mileage policy helped but makes no odds to me as still wont use the mileage lol (y)

Thanks for your business Gary (and for posting).

We have several mileage focussed products that reward people covering less than average road miles, so if you cover a lower mileage (as you found) it's always worth giving us a try.

These products are still flexible, so you can start with a lower premium based upon lower annual miles and you can always 'top up' the mileage if your circumstances change or you ever need to.

Kind regards

Tony

P.S. You get the same high level of policy cover and flexibility (with modifications/track use/agreed value etc) at a discounted rate to reflect reduced road exposure - Glad to see it worked for you

Back again with Green Light for another year on the TT- excellent service. Didn't have a major saving from last year but I put that down to me having an agreed value on the car and parts. Still very happy and a great company to do business with (y)

Hi Bono872,

We maintain a constant focus upon service and policy cover, so it's great to see that you appreciate and you're happy with these aspects of what we do.

We've a performance/modified/cherished focus for the vehicle's that we look to cover, which does limit our market a little. But we have relevant policy features and in the sectors that we target (particularly with the majority our staff owning and running, or having owned and ran the types of vehicles we Insure) as you've found we're not the usual "men in grey" Insurance types.

Thanks once again for posting

Kind regards

Tony

Hi Wes,

Thanks for posting.

I've been away on annual leave with my family in Mallorca since 30th July and today is my first day back, thus the slight delay in getting back to you.

The RMS discount we can allow is varied between our Underwriters, but will usually be around 13% off of your premium (so we'll worth mentioning).

If your Qashqai is modified, or a performance model (Nismo/R) we'll be able to help. But if it's a non-performance everyday Qashqai it's unlikely our Underwriters will be able to quote on this occasion.

Either way, thanks for thinking of Greenlight for your Insurance policy that's due shortly.

Kind regards

Tony

Tony, tried to get a quote today and was told that none of the underwriters could match my current renewal quote. Anything you can do?
Was hoping to get a competitive quote now that I've had the volvo over a year.

Hi AndyMc,

Thanks for posting (and for the opportunity to help with your Insurance requirement).

We do offer concessions where you've owned the vehicle for a year or more, we also allow a further discount from our standard rating for RMS members. Both of which should have helped.

Our stance is to offer the most competitive option that we have available based upon your specific needs and circumstances first time, there's no scratching of the chin and suddenly dropping £100's involved.

Meaning unless there was a change in your details (risk profile) that differ (lower road miles, less drivers required, higher level of NCB etc) from when your application was made to us it's unlikely our quoted premium would alter.

You will find the cover under our exclusive schemes is good and in addition to traditional features such as windscreen cover, audio cover, courtesy cars, repair guarantees and 24/7 claims service, you will also find other relevant features such as like for like replacement of vehicle modifications in event of a repairable/replaceable incident, an agreed value option and track cover options.

With regard to your application, I can access this internally and can review this with our technical pricing team for you - which will highlight the factors influencing the terms (premium/excess etc) quoted to you. I'll then be able to revert to you via PM, or can get one of our advisers to call to run through this with you.

If you don't mind PM'ing me your contact details (including your actual name and postcode), I'll then be able to look at this for you.

Kind regards

Tony

Hi Everyone,

We've just added two new products to our existing range.

Both of which are available within Northern Ireland, have the usual relevant specialist features, include a forum member discount and are available now.

If you're looking for cover for your modified van or car and would like to see what we can do, we'd welcome the opportunity to help and with the additions to our product range we're now even more competitive (y)

Kind regards

Tony

Hi Colin,

Thanks for posting.

We're pretty sharp with the Focus ST models, as we've covered a high volume of these through our connections with the STOC and in our capacity as Mountune's approved Insurance provider for the last 5 years. We've also a long standing relationship with Club Gti and a pedigree dating back to our launch 19 years ago for covering MK2 Golf GTi's - so we'll be able to help with that too

If you get a few minutes to check out our facebook page, you'll see our Ford and VW connections - including pictures of our MK1 Golf GTi (wolfsberg edition) project and photo's of our trip to Ford Fair this summer, where we supported the STOC.

www.facebook.com/GreenlightInsurance

With regard to the Third Party cover section, subject to some basic (occupation related) criteria, the driving other cars (Third Party) section is available for drivers aged 25 or over under most of our products. So it's likely that you'll automatically receive this extension too.

We'd welcome the chance to help out with your Insurance requirement, so when your renewal arrives don't be shy in calling (01277 650866 - 9am-6pm Mon-Fri or 9am-1pm Sat), applying online at www.greenlightinsurance.co.uk or PM'ing me your contact details to start the process and to see what we can do (y)

Kind regards

Tony

Hi Svensktoppen,

Thanks for posting.

We've been covering people in Northern Ireland for 8 years now and got to know some really good people there.

As a firm we're very pro-Ireland - Great place, great people and one of our favourite regions to cover

As you say, more providers and products means we're able to expand what we already do and makes us even more competitive.

Kind regards

Tony

Hear hear :grinning: Keep it up, more providers can only be a good thing.

A very happy, returning customer.

Ended my policy with greenlight in November as I had taken the car off the road.

Got a car new car during the week and went to add it to my current policy I have with the national farmers Union for the Range Rover. That policy ends on 25th April and they were looking for £536 till then and that was 3rd party, fire and theft.

Phone Greenlight, only complaint was I was on hold for about 15mins.

Once I got through though, it was a very painless experience, explained I had a policy with them before, fella took my name and address and pulled up all my old details, made things very handy.

Details of new car, millage under 5,000 a year and 3rd party, fire and theft, costing £599 for the year. He didn't have time to asked me anything before I side I'll take it haha.

Also still have my direct debit details making that quick an easy again.

Evening he said he wished all calls were that quick and easy.

Thought it a great price as I'm only 24 with 2 years no claims after losing 3rd due to an accident that went 50/50.

And the car is a 2.5 V6 with a high insurance group.

Ps The fella nearly got me in trouble at work tho and we ended up chatting for 5 mins.

Forgot I was dealing with an insurance company haha.

Glad to be back Tony.

Edit: Apologies that's a bit long winded

@Tony@Greenlight do you do no claims mirroring for a second vehicle? Also does the first vehicle have to be insured by yourselves to offer that?

I read in an earlier post you don't cover jap imports, is this still the case?
I am due to renew my insurance on my skyline soon.

Hi NickR85,

Providing you have a decent driving history (incident/claims wise) over recent years, we can mirror your NCB years earned and in use on another policy.

Our Underwriters will allow their respective equivalent percentage discount to reflect what you've earned upon the other policy, but you then build a 2nd set of NCB.

For example, if you have 5 years NCB upon your first vehicle (5 years with a 65% discount). You would start with a 65% 0 years discount and would build the years as you go.

The first car does not always need to be with us too.

We can definitely help with this.

Kind regards

Tony

Hi Mousey,

Thanks for posting within our thread.

We can cover Japanese import models, we've been doing this officially for about 3 years now.

We've posted a thread in the "Greenlight" traders section of the forum to let members know we'd expanded our product range to cover Japanese imported models back in April 2012.

http://reallymeansounds.com/forum/t...listed-vehicle-insurance-01277-650866.135549/

Once your Skyline renewal arrives, simply call us (technical new business team 01277 650866 - 9am - 6pm monday to friday / 9am - 1pm saturday) to see what we can offer to compare it to your renewal.

Kind regards

Tony

Hi WSM,

Thanks for posting.

We offer trackday cover as an extension for customers who are already covered with us.

It's reasonable price wise and usually something between £45-£65 (depending upon the respective Underwriter that you're covered with through us) for a day's cover.

Unfortunately, with your vehicle being a BMW M4 it's unlikely that you'll be with us as we've consistently taken a hiding upon BMW models (theft, total losses - rear wheel drive factor, cost to repair - comparatively high parts and labour rates) and don't currently offer new business cover for them.

Kind regards

Tony

P.S. They're really well engineered cars, but the reality is that from an Insurance/claims cost vs premium in basis and to keep our rates competitive we can't subsidise BMW models that have consistently been paying out considerably more in claims than the premium received.

Tony,
Do you guys offer track-day cover at all? BMW M4.
