On the RMS Blog: One of the most chilled events of the car show calendar in Northern Ireland is definitely the Castlewellan Car Show run by the VAG enthusiasts club GTINI. It's one of the longest running shows locally too, taking place at the same venue for well over a decade. With everything from Bugs to Campers, Audis to Vauxhalls there's always something for everyone at the Castlewellan event

Great weather, good craic and great atmosphere

Only photos I took, Paul's sapphire Cossie is absolutely beautiful!! One of my fav cars

And we got to sit behind and enjoy the beautiful view of @g4ost (think it's his user name) for the long straight five miles into castlwellan!!

I didn't realise that was you behind me on the way in - you should've gave the one finger salute and I might've noticed (y)

The show was a good afternoon out, not as busy as some previous years but still great all the same.

After about an hour and 15 mins of driving slowly, and just as I pulled in to park up, a coolant hose sprung a leak  A five minute fix to trim the hose but a brief panic beforehand all the same :scream:

Yeah I'd seen you pull onto the road behind me a few miles back and then all the way into the Park, it was just too sunny to see people clearly enough to recognise who it was :yum

Personally, bar the Escorts and a few RMS member cars, it doesn't actually look great this year.

Was down at this myself although it was the first year I've actually had a VW to attend in. Was really good although sort of paying for it now with sunburn

Was at it myself for an hour, I showed up at 11 and left at 12 due to other plans so missed a few motors but seemed good quality as usual. Loved the R32 GTR. Passed the Silver Cossie when I was on my way through Downpatrick coming home. Lovely car

@Überdub cheers. That's exactly what it is. I love all the older style colours. I pretty much styled the car around how a lot of the europeans do mk1s. Original colours, tucking narrow BBS wheels, tan interiors (yet to be trimmed properly), black trim to break the paint up, etc
