as for the saloons, we were at the annual dinner on sat night with them all, great lads and fabulous craic on track.

you will be against roughly the following (these have been out the last few years)

4-5 BMW's with M3 engines
2 seat leon touring support car
1 vectra v6 touring support car
2 dc5 integra's
1 dc2 integra
1 sierra cosworth
1 rx7
1 escort coswroth

pictures are basically of a production saloon car 2x2 seating config in standard form constitutes for the series, the porkers etc are all GT class so dont let them put you off

yes 240/250 bhp with 900kg.....Havnt ruled out supercharger yet, have couple men on lookout for 2nd hand one:laughing:

The Father and son team with the DC5's had a charger forsale in september time i heard.. a mate was saying to me when i had the S2000.

No need for that. I was just saying that a 2ltr 16v isn't going to have half the puff it needs to even worry the M3's or even the DC5s with all the money they have spent on them. Go down and watch the first race day and see whatg times they are putting in, but without lots of tuning and serious skill, a standard S2000 powered E30 wont hold a candle in that class.

Did you hear a price lorenzo?Im not sure the k20 is the same charger as the s2000 charger

I know it wouldnt have the legs for it the way it is now...Do you think it wouldnt if it had a supercharger on it an it only weighting 900kg??(y)

I couldnt be sure either, i did hear a price but i cant recall tbh...

The Father is a Doctor called Tony Traub and the son is Stephen if that is any use for getting in touch.

I was speaking to david a few weeks ago and he says that his compact with the e46 m3 engine is pumping 370-380hp and prob. 900kg.

Try loads of M3s. Never mind your VTEC (n)

you must not have read my post correctly....I was looking a 2.0 16 valve class....So a 3.2 bmw wouldnt get into this.....

Dont think il bother then lol....This will cost too much an you will always be chasing more power....Used to be like the super class in the billy finnegan racing who ever had the biggest wallet had the fastest cars...Not saying its just that as driver skill has lots to do with it too..

I was standard salloon you where just allowed to lower the car on its standard suspension an no engine work was allowed...Was great cheap racing an gave me the money to go to australia whuch i needed then :grinning:

Ah, I know Brian Ewing from Ballynahinch and Christian Cochrane. I'd buy a brave bit of stuff from Cochrane's...

Anto Green had a Mk3 Astra with a 3ltr 24v Senator engine in it, meaning it was converted to rear wheel drive. Spent a brave few nights working on it over the past few years as a couple of mates own it and used it for the drifting, Walshy up there being 1 of them, an avid BMW and Vauxhall fan that knows his stuff about them.

What about a wee blue and white Ascona running in the standards class? Would you remember it by any chance?

Cant remember any ascona it was year 2000 dont think i seen the astra either cause i didnt go back to it after that....
Yes Brian had a red prelude an i think he finished 4th, Paul killen is cochranes mate he now rallys a red mk2 escort he was 2nd or 3rd...

As far as the DC5's go; 1 of them is running throttle bodies and some special management and putting the power down through a £5k gearbox. Last year it had diff issues meaning problems getting the power down in the corners which is where is should be making time against the BMW's, but when it came out in the final round, it came all guns blazing and pushed Ralph Jess so hard that he ended up setting the fastest lap time at Kirkistown in the Saloon Class in his E46 M3 Coupe...

You could say the DC5s are alright, but that's an understatement. They seem, judging solely on their final round performance, to be perfect for that track now...

Dont mind me... I was looking at a Compact earlier online and it actually a Coupe. Head is all over the place the past while. I'm surprised I even got the numerical part right... (n) lol

I already linked Tony to the Railway Auto's Racing website so he could see their cars anyway, but it doesn't detail the new E30.

Have you been down there lately?

Cheers yes the car will have most of this already if not it all, an i have a proper race suit from my bf racing days....Just shoes gloves an licence....
