A 4 Puck will sheer the dowels off anything, we call it a death star 🙈 if you need that crank and flywheel fixed with oversized dowels drop me a message. Easy enough fix.although maybe just looks like a flanged crank and the bolts have sheered? Again. Easy enough fix

it’s a heavy brute of a clutch. It was just standard bolts so they never stood a chance.

I had a lightened flywheel ordered but got sent the wrong one and was running out of time so just refitted the other flywheel and a set of new arp bolts.

what power are you making ? surely a ceramic clutch is a bit over kill ?

it’s a shame clarke brothers in belfast closed they could reline a standard clutch with slightly more aggressive material that saved going to a full copper and it still allows a bit off slip

It’s around 180ish. That’s what was in it before and I replaced it around 12 years ago like for like and it never turned a wheel.

one of my old customers was Adrian Hetherington & he ended up a chum over the years & the money he threw at his mk2 he could've walked into a showroom & out with a brand new ferrari. rich/mad man's passtime!

I’d rather be steering a mk2 around a track than a Ferrari sitting in the garage. To be honest two laps of shackleton cost me over 2 grand but we still came home laughing lol

All back together, flooded garage, bit more wiring repaired and tidied, exhaust manifold repaired, new tyres, oils checked and changed, new feed lines to the brake master cylinders and we were ready for the next day at shackleton.

We were flying and having some days fun, clipped a bale over the finish line and took the bumper, tail light and scuffed the quarter panel. Thumped it hard enough it pulled the battery box out of the floor. Got it bolted back in and away again with two more back tyres one.

pushing On the last stage and cut too deep on a corner that threw me wide into a bale sitting at the corner of a house. Still finished going over the finish line on the limiter and full of the rack. **** happens but nobody hurt and able to laugh about it.

now to get the porta power out and fixed for the next day.

can I try your Ferrari out for a day 😜😜

That post reminded me of my one & only NISE7ENS season. 12 meets on the callander, I made x2 due to work commitments. One of those shagged a gearbox during qualifying.
I would give my right testicle to have your expertise & time.
Top work, good to see it living on in the family & no you can not. Lol

You'd have better craic with the Mk2 than a Ferrari I'd say.
Adrain's rebuilt Corolla WRC car will be good to see out on the stages too.
He is completely mental though.
before I sold the mak he talked me into taking it a scalp. was about 550 by then & dickhead me wouldn't let him take it out without me..... mistake!
was only a 10 minute blip round the docks but I produced a couple of trouser pancakes both from the financial damage & the chances of me spending a long time in hospital!
then he told me his suspension in the mk2 escort was worth more than I had the evo for sale for!
you only think you can drive till you sit with someone who can!
