Just tipping away and fixing what I break, new zeronoise intercom fitted, new front discs, pads and wheel bearings, dash flocked, new carbon fibre dash panels, new in date extinguishers and a full rewire


Went to St Angelo RSA, drove like a granny.

Found this about half a mile from the house. Lay outside for a few years.

Has been a rally car before, cage was removed and stripped for a rebuild then left outside abandoned.

Came with a redtop on 48 dellortos, glebe gt6 sequential gearbox, atlas axle, 4 immaculate doors, new alloy arches, 4 speed rocket box, two bellhousings, glass, lights, boot lid, bonnet, grills, 20 wheels etc

Looking well, or was at least, I'm sure it's probably fixable enough for a man with the right talents. That would be a common enough place to damage a Mk2 in any case.

Dunno if I missed it somewhere else in the thread but what happened to the Starlet that you were working on?

Good to see you getting out for a run anyway.

Starlets still there. Just buying parts as and when time and money allows

Yeah been looking after this for a while now and running it at the events along with the MRF tyres too.

Been busy this past while. Went and done the BARS test for stage rallying, gearbox rebuild and prep on the R5 proton, accident on testing and emergency repairs for Sligo rally.

Mk2 got new lower quarters, new rear arches, bit of general tidying and repairs.

Was all prepped for Davagh stages on Sunday past. First stage rally and first time using pacenotes. Unfortunately broke a half shaft in the middle of stage 2 so that was out out. Diff stripped, rebuild kit and shafts organised. So rebuild it and go again. Also fitted new X door bars for a bit of extra safety.

Bit of a tidy up in the engine bay, new black an-3 brake line and fittings. All new hardware, nordlock washers etc. new axle brace clamps, diff rebuilt, gearbox checked, few bits and bobs tidied up.

Have an entry in for Fivemiletown rally at the end of February.

Some difference there, good work!

I notice the MRF sponsorship - are you able to source tyres yourself or able to put me in touch with someone? I was about to place an order with a crowd from England for some 15" MRF ZTA's
