That is brutal. Personally I’m not really a fan of modifying wheels too much, I don’t like all these heavily contoured ones you see with DIY flat bottom. Just me but.
I agree, too much for a golf. I do appreciate a chunky wheel though.

Not a bad price for a retrim though....got a link?

How do you find running costs? We are averaging around 34/36mpg in the MINI. I was expecting poorer than that but wondered how it compares?

Someone in work was asking the same this morning. To be honest I haven’t even checked in over a year. I expect 34ish but will report back.

Royal Steering Wheels.

Also check out Control Custom Steering Wheels on FB, english compnay, they are putting out some really top notch steering wheel refurbs.

Baron uses them I believe.

To be honest Royal has been the go-to name for years, and theres plenty of folk on here that have used them. So given the great price, I'm happy just to stick with them.

Would depend on type of driving though. Mine averaged 25 over the 2 years but I spent a lot of my time commuting from East Belfast to the city centre. S3 is the same.

I got the 8” screen on eBay a few weeks ago then found a brand new surround at a VW dealers on eBay last week. My offer was accepted and it arrived today. I hadn’t realised the vents were included too, and it was only when I went to fit that I began removing them and remembered the ones in the car were actually damaged from a phone mount by the previous owner. Delighted having that fixed!

A few befores and afters of the screen- excuse the glare from the garage window! Very happy with this, should help come resale too. Actually a decent enough spec on the car when you compare it to a lot of the others.

The steering wheel arrived this week and got it fitted this morning. Very pleased with how it looks and feels, but an absolute handling while fitting. I’ve had plenty of wheels off in the passed, but when I was pulling the trim off I pulled the wires for the + paddle out of the connector. I wasn’t sure which way round they went (there were 3) so tried them 1 way and put it altogether. Of course it was the wrong way, so now the paddle doesn’t light up and doesn’t change gear. The - 1 still works as it should.

Went to pop the airbag out to get the wires swapped over and the flipping airbag will not budge. I can feel the spring clips and release both sides, but the airbag only pops forward 3/4mm and not properly out like it should. It feels like it catching on something but as I’ve never had it happen before I’ve no idea what!

Absolute pain in the ****. Nothing in life is ever straightforward!

I remember buying my Escort RS many moons ago and there was about 1000 hair bands on the gear stick.

Wheel looks well.
