Well I’ve finally given in and I’m starting to tinker with the sound system. The new speakers didn’t have an awful lot of bass so with a bit of advice from @Cartunes I crudely made up a couple of mdf rings to mount a set of budget speakers from Vibe. I also fitted the crossovers that I thought were obsolete and now there is a significant difference in the sound.

It’s not much but it’s a beginning, with more plans to come to fruition!

There’s probably not much that’s glaringly obvious on the car, mostly been subtle changes such as changing door handles and door mouldings for colour coded items, refurbing the headlights, removed orange indicator bulbs, fitted a 1*2 Grill, tinted the front fog lights yellow. . . . .

And then there’s the exhaust lol

Thanks buddy! Yesterday I purchased some more audio gear courtesy of @Cartunes.

Now to get some more mdf and try to design and build a subtle-ish boot build

I have to admit that I am in a bit of personal dilemma over the exhaust. Whilst I want it to sound and look a bit sporty, it is taking away a little from the driving experience (such as it is in a clio).

Also with my intentions of re-learning how to build a sounds system/boot install I fear it will hamper my listening experience.

So there is a chance that I could fit a standard back box again.

Don't worry about the sounds not coming through. Earth could have blown up and I wouldn't have heard.it in the drivers seat of the Astra with the jbl on full munch.

Good to know! Oh by the way, I think I have found two perfect earth points provided kindly by Renault!

I spotted two threaded holes in the rear panel, possibly an M8 thread, I just haven’t got out to my shed to see if I have any m8 bolts suitable!
