Not selling. Gonna go all in and keep it
I'm not into standard cars but am fully aware the value in it in the future will be for a standard example so anything I do the original parts will be kept and easily swapped back

Plans

Strip and respray
Lowered (not sure what to go for yet)
16" oz f1s and new tyres (anyone know of a set for sale?)
Sabelt renaultsport steering wheel
Cup spoiler
Front splitter ( megane or cupra)
Fog lights removed and vents fitted
182 colour coded side strips and mk 2 facelift rear lights

Stripping for paint begins next week

Started gathering bits
16" original phase 1 172 alloys are like hens teeth. They have a wee stepped lip the same as the 15". Couldnt find any and I bet they are crazy money.
Found a set of 5 wheels. 16" non Renault ones which are hard enough to get too.
4 arrived one is still in the hub in England
Also got a set of mk2 rear lights
Wheels are going to mje for a full refurb and new tyres some time soon

Put the 16s on the car to see what they were like. I like them. Definately fill the arches more.
The car is now at the body shop and I spent yesterday afternoon starting the strip down. The wee cars in some shape. Door cards etc had never been off

Tomorrow the plan is put the wheels on. Take it outside remove them and put it on stand then tfr and powerhose the arches spotless for them to be painted and sealed

I will be rubbing under the arches and spraying them as well during the rebuild. I took it out today and powerhosed then sprayed with tfr and hosed again to remove any dirt or grease.
Came up well. Shows how good a shape the cars in to start with

A few more bits done. front window and both rears removed. Dents fixed in roof and back passenger quarter. First coats of primer. It will be getting primed and rubbed twice. Gathering bits too. Phase 2 side trim and bullets and new wishbones
Aaaaand just bought a 306 rallye with 80 something k on it as well lol. Its an illness liking French hatches lol

good progress made on the clio
It's now resprayed and mostly built back together. Only a few small bits still to paint.
BPD autobody did a great job painting it

I ordered a renaultsport sabelt wheel kit with horne buttons which should be a nice addition. Also have a set of Yokohama v701 tyres arrived today. Hopefully will get the wheels left over to cookstown to get refurbed by mje on saturday

Unreal looking now, PH1's are so scarce! @Nazor what is the perception of French cars like Peugeot & Renault in the states? Well known in enthusiast circles, or are they kind of forgotten about?
