Seemed a lot of people cancelled this time round. Hopefully that doesn’t stop them running these offers again. Probably would make better business sense to have them as non-refundable tickets.

Great day, drive to Culzean castle then realised it would be £34 for both of us lol. Drove to Ayr then to Glasgow for the ‘intu’ centre, had Nando’s then went to Krispy kreme.

Drove down to Dumfries via the main motorways as some of the scenery is great. Tried to find a jet wash as the car was stinking from having to divert down a country road, joys of a white car.

Saw a RS4, VRS Octavia and a mint Mk4 GTI Golf on the way back to Stranraer but could not join in on the ricing as the Mrs would have chopped my nads off, not a fan of anything speedy lol!

Drove to Port Patrick, sat up for 20 mins, ate a few donuts and now sitting on the boat. Near enough 300 miles covered and had great weather apart from a rain shower at the very end! Had my friend in a Golf R follow me for a bit too.

Yeah mate it’s had a few bits to done to it.... not to mention that it’s a TFSI one and not a diesel one for a change lol

Thoroughly enjoyed myself yesterday, I’ll definitely be booking on one of these again next year for sure.

We headed straight for Glasgow to get a feed and stock up on some Krispy Kremes. As @sam_9n said above we got diverted down some mucky country lane on the way that spoiled our clean cars.

After Glasgow I headed to a place called Broughton to join the A701 after seeing someone mention it at the start of this thread. WHAT A ROAD!

In Dumfries I filled the R up with Shell V Power rocket fuel and headed off up the A75 towards Portpatrick. The A75 is an absolute cracking stretch of road when it’s not clogged up with lorries and caravans heading for the boat. We pulled up outside The Crown hotel for a quick pint before the boat, and ended up parked behind a big red Fiat.

Can’t wait for the next one!

Stena Estrid is indeed destined for the Dublin/Holyhead route, but it is 1 of the 3 new ships coming to the Irish sea routes. Stena Edda and Stena Embla are the 2 new ship leaving Belfast, but unfortunately they will both be on the Liverpool route.
