@gixermark Totally agree, some very skilled engineers and fabricators over this side of the water, most certainly doing it for the love of it. If it was 2-3times the price I simply couldn't afford it or it would have to be a once in a lifetime thing!
Some progress this week, small brackets and mounting yet more parts.
4L Electronivally Actuated Extinguisher mounted over the Axle
12V Anderson Plug mounted for Battery Boosting, this will be used for starting the car around the Paddock with a Large Slave battery.
Another wee mount for my Brake Bias control
A couple more areas Tidied around the engine Bay, think the Tidying side is now complete and the new engine can be fitted to look at the radiator wasn't water pipework locations
1st Stab made at mounting the switch Panel, sits on the top tunnel next to the gearlever
A few bits still to do on the list, but on the home straight now for strip down, blast & paint at the start of August.
I have been gathering some Parts to mock up the ITB induction system while the engine is in the car to check bonnet clearances and a
few changes are required to mount the dry sump pump.
It should sound Epic on open trumpets, I'll maybe design some kind of airbox and cold air feed down the line.
Also i've ordered a new flywheel to accept a 7.25" Twinplate clutch that I had for another car, this will take 500lbft with a minimal rotating mass allowing for the engine to rev freely.
I can do this when the car is away for paint and measure up for a custom longer input shaft for the Tractive Gearbox etc.
