I'll drop Phil@AI a PM here, Might need them to fit the exhaust and remap it then, alot of people give them very high reviews/feedback.

What price can he expect to pay for a remap? Just so i can tell him before hand.

not 100% sure, but a set of audi tt 225 (blue) injectors make a difference and a remap, forget the air filter, have tryed changing it to a few different types while it was on a rollin road and got the best results from the standard filter, (K+N filter "lost" it 4HP) gets you thinking . And for all you will gain with a pipe and decat, its not worth the money (i"d say maybe 4 or 5hp)

The pipercross 'dry' drop in panal filter got good reviews, and the exhausts pretty much cosmetic.

any good audi forums i might find cheap injectors then? Or a cheap 04 turbo?

Another thing, does the manifold need changed for the change of turbo or will the standard one do?

It all seems a bit extreme for a car that may not be running right in the first place. I'd get it checked by a vag specialist who knows their stuff. Changing turbos, manifolds, injectors, fuel pump, intercooler for more power in a car that doesn't get driven hard is a waste of time, money and will never drive as smoothly as one that's been left alone or tuned mildly.

Just sat and thought there, get it on vagcom and checked for a fault with the n75 valve. At a recent club rr day a guy had a tuned 1.8t golf there that was a good 30/40 brake down on what it should have been due to a faulty n75 valve.

No bother. Forge do a heavy duty n75, race frequency I think they call it. Better job all round especially with higher boost. It basically regulates pressure between the turbo and the wastegate so if it's faulty boost drops right off, and the car becomes lifeless and unresponsive. Hope you get sorted.

Got it on the VAGCOM last night, N80 valve issue? Check Peje's thread about VAGCOM he has the error codes it threw up.

Think the n80 would be the cause of the lack of power?

BazMCC to the rescue again, N80 valve needs cleaned/replaced. From my understanding its likely jammed and 'purging' the boost out...though having said that im an AutoCAD monkey and not a mechanic!!

Haha, Any chance you could find the part number Peje? Dad wants to just replace it if its a common fault and like you said, shouldn't be too expencive.

i rang them and bluffed my way...assuming its earlier chassis of 2004 its 77quid from Audi. ECP could be cheaper but id say stick with genuine parts when it comes to air low pish
