Was it the handle replaced or the actuator inside the bootlid? Have the same problem in my own avant.

Stripped the rear of the Smartie, trying to find the source of an annoying rattle.
Turned out 3 heatshields were loose.
Added some stainless washers to secure them again.
Gave the backbox a quick spray with VHT silver as it was looking a bit weathered too.
