Ogier and Latvala today were on a different league to others in the 2 shakedown stages. Meeke is taking a very safe approach, no jumps and cuts, let's hope he does that all rally and brings home a good result. Kubica displayed some awesome crazy stunts again with crowds loving him here. Sadly there was a car incident at the end of sd1 with an evo hitting a spectator, but the spectator was very much still alive as we ran down to see what happened. SS1 live tonight. I can only share some phone screengrabs now!
More drama, this time Juho Hanninen rolling on SS5.
Meeke retired now, sounds like electrical issues continued - "The suspicion was that the battery warning light that came on at the end of SS4 had turned into some more serious and had brought his rally to a premature end after he failed to make the stage finish line."

Action packed day, I am knackered, just back! Talked to Meeke for a while today - yesterday after the jump their radiator hose came loose and apparently battery fail today so should see him tomorrow. Gutted for Miko and Haninnen and not to mention all the other trouble this rally has seen this year. Specator accident, few crashes and chaos in jump at ss8. Loads and loads of pics to come once back. Irish team were so kind to grant us rally VIP all area access in hq and vip parking, helps a lot in this rally!
One teaser snap from the day - Latvala showing how it's done!
