So much for changing his approach. Being in front of home fans has probably put a bit more pressure on him.

Meeke finishes day one third overall, after 3 stages. Decent start and hopefully he can build on this tomorrow.

All looks very tight at the top with Ogier grabbing first. Meeke in fifth. Could be a scrap developing for 4th, 5th and 6th with Latvala and Hanninen

Carnage in Poland. Kubica & Meeke puncture. Ostberg and Evans roll out; Latvala sustains heavy suspension damage. All three Hyundais march on.

That was a bit of a manic rally, lol Shame about Latvala, he was on for a really good result for a while.

Unlucky for Meke too, stuck in the ruts quite literally...

You have to give it to Kubica, he never fails to entertain

Kubica is getting in early this time. Crashed into a tree stump testing in Finland, ahead of the rally starting next week.

Think Mitsubishi, Subaru and Toyota need to get their asses back into the WRC. Hyundai's and Citroens just don't cut it for me. 80's and 90's rallying was far more exciting for me personally. By the sounds of it the WRC is getting to be very like the F1 (which is a total snoozefest tbh) Lock of cars, nice windy track, multiple types of terrain.... whoever's quickest wins... simple No mathematic algorithms or any of that bull

Toyota to confirm at the end of the year if the Yaris WRC gets a green light. After all the testing they've done with the two drivers they are ready to join; however the other project waiting to be confirmed is the endurance series, so fingers crossed we will see Toyota Yaris WRC in the rally soon if the big guys at Toyota say yes!
